Crabby the Crabby Crab – Chapter 2

A Disaster in the Classroom

As the chaos erupted in Sylvia’s classroom, Miss Graham let out a piercing scream. “AAAAAAAAAAAA!”
In one prompt scissor kick, she leapt into the air, her hair wild and tangled like a cobweb whilst one of her shiny, red shoes fell to the floor, and the mischievous crab bounced on her thin shoulder.
Meanwhile, Sylvia was crouching under her desk, desperately stretching her arm to catch Crabby, who stood on her teacher’s head, digging his razor-sharp pincers tightly inside her frizzy, ginger hair.
Immediately Miss Graham lied unconsciously on the floor, whilst the whole class fell silent with a mix of amusement and concern.
“Imma catch ya hideous crab!” yelled Adam attempting to trap Crabby inside his notebook, but, unlikely for him, the small crab jumped in the air, slipped on some water and tumbled down the drawers.
In a flash, he hopped onto Sylvia’s friend’s table with its large, black eyes beaming at him and he stood arrogantly on the top of the desk like a hero priding proudly on the cliff after a monstrous battle.
“CRABBY, STOP!” shrieked Sylvia at Crabby while waving her fist firmly towards him.
Then, one of the students jumped on his seat and stated boldly, “We can hit two birds with one stone, my friends. If we bring a small shrimp, we can use it to trap this crab and then take it to our lab.”
“No! You won’t do that, he’s my little friend.” Replied Sylvia, glancing fiercely at him.
“SERIOUSLY! This miniature is your FRIEND?” Replied Eron, the philosopher.
Then, he added while straightening his round, small glasses, “Sylvia, don’t you know that crabs are poisonous?”
“Poisonous? SERIOUSLY! You completely lost the plot, MR KNOW IT ALL!”
While Sylvia and Eron were arguing, Crabby jumped swiftly on the ceiling. Everyone got crazy at the sight of this.
“Crabby, get down immediately!” yelled Sylvia.
“Crabby? THIS CRAB HAS A NAME?!” replied the rest of the class simultaneously.
Then, in a trice, the tiny crab jumped down from the ceiling with a loud PLOP! He accidentally knocked the glass water down onto Miss Graham’s face, and BAAAANG!
The miserable teacher woke up and stood dizzily while rolling her terrified eyes to check here and there, “Where is he?” She screamed hysterically.
“He’s in your hair, Miss Graham…” Answered Adam pointing at Miss Graham’s ponytail.
“ON MY HAIR A!!!!!!!” screamed Miss Graham with a high-pitched sound.
Poor Miss Graham, she got water splashed on her face and there she was, slipping once again on some more water whilst her shoes were thrust up in the air like a hilarious cartoon character. BOOM! Instantly, she fainted again.
Whilst Sylvia and her friends were busy wrangling about how to catch the small, furious crab, the classroom door flung wide open and the headteacher dashed into gazing worriedly with his wide-open eyes. To his unfortunate surprise, there were plenty of pens, books, and notebooks scattered everywhere.
“What a horrible mess in this classroom!” roared the headteacher. Then, noticing Miss Graham on the floor, he hurried towards her, shook her shoulders nervously, “Miss Graham, are you OK?”
“I need help urgently.” Shouted the headteacher holding Miss Graham’s weak arm, before they left together.
Within seconds, a huge hustle and bustle burst everywhere inside the chaotic classroom, when Sylvia, clasped Crabby promptly, hid him in her uniform pocket and stomped out rapidly from the classroom, leaving a loud rocking laughter behind her.

Hahahaha, poor Miss Graham. I’m sure she never expected this to happen to her in her entire life. When I read the story for the first time, it caught me as always, and I was waiting to know what events would happen in it, which were unexpected, at least as I expected, haha. You, talented writer, have succeeded as always, in entertaining us with your ideas and style. You have succeeded in putting a smile on my face after an exhausting day at work 🙂 A very beautiful style. Thank you for the smile, and for this story that made me live its events as if I were watching a movie. I’ll wait for the rest of the events that will be funny, or maybe they will get serious this time, who knows…
