Yes Day

Whenever I ask my parents to do something fun, they only have one word to say: “No”.  But today things turned out to be a bit different. Let me tell you how. You see, I have three siblings and they all have the same wish as me: make our parents say yes for everything we ask them for a whole day. So, my siblings and I made a list for one thing we want our parents to say ‘yes’ for. I chose to have a car wash with our windows up; my brother chose to have a fight with birds and my sister chose to have a Lamborghini and to drive it for a day. So, the first thing we did in the morning was to have an ice cream breakfast and then head to the car washer. As soon as my dad paid with his card, he rolled up all of our windows and kaboom! We were giggling, smiling and enjoying our life for the first time. After our car wash was done, we went to the drying car section and tried to dry the water but I guess it was too late. Our car was ruined. Right after that, we had to walk for an hour and a half to finally make it to the Lamborghini dealership so we could finally fulfill my sister’s wish of buying a Lamborghini and driving it for a day. We then headed to the front desk to tell them that we were willing to buy the Lamborghini for a rental for an hour.

“We would like to rent the Lambo for an hour,” said dad.

“Okay, it will be eight thousand dollars,” said the employee.

“Okay,” replied dad. “You can put it on my American Express Amex card.”

Once my dad was done paying for the Lamborghini, my sister demanded the color to be Baby Blue. Then she opened the door of the car and put the keys into the ignition and started the car. She then told everyone to get in the car because she said she was taking us on a ride in the Lamborghini on a private paid highway. She then put her foot on the pedal and went 325 km/h. Once she was done using the Lamborghini, she gave the Lamborghini back to the showroom employee and then we headed to our own car to call any farm that would allow us to buy a lot of birds to fight with. After calling for hours and hours, we finally found a farm that was available to give us a lot of birds to fight with. We then headed to Downey’s Farm, a farm in which we would be fighting birds, to go to the manager and tell him to get the birds ready which we will fight.

“How many birds do you need?” asked the manager.

“We need approximately 30 birds,” replied dad.

“Ohh, I think that is too much,” said the manager.

“Our birds are huge.”

“They are nothin’ compared to us,” said dad. “Right guys?”

“Yea-hh,” replied my whole family.

“Okay then,” said the manager. “We will get them ready.”

After ten minutes, the manager came out of the barn and told us to line up in front of one bird each.

“The birds are more than us,” I said.

“Yeah, that is why I brought more people to help you guys,” said the manager. “Their names are James, Max, Simon, Sarah and Kassie.”

“Okay,” we answered.

After knowing that, we had some more teammates. My family and I braced ourselves.

“Ready on your mark, get set, GO!” said the manager.

Once we started fighting, it looked like the birds were winning because half of my family was bleeding and were knocked out.

“Ouchh,” everyone exclaimed as they moved from one side to another.

“I will call 911,” said the manager.

I heard police and ambulance sirens coming in the direction of the farm.

“Which body part is bleeding?” asked the paramedic.

“My whole body,” I answered.

After the paramedic asked which body part was hurting, they got ten gurneys because my whole family and our teammates were injured and all of them were bleeding. Once they put my family on gurneys, they opened the back of the ambulance and put my family in it. I noticed that the ambulance was going at top speed because of how the cars were moving to the side to make way for us.

“Someone,” said the paramedic. “Get five hospital rooms ready for our patients.”

“Put the oxygen mask on our patients that just came in,” said the doctor. “Also replace their phlebotomist and put a small tube instead.”

After hearing doctors screaming and running from room to room, I finally fell asleep on my hospital bed. After I woke up, I couldn’t move my body even one inch.

“You guys are dismissed from the hospital,” said the doctor.

“Okay, we will leave in a bit,” mom said to the doctor.

After a few hours, my whole family got up and headed towards the car. While going home from the hospital, we told each other riddles, played the country game, told jokes to each other and then finally reached home. Once we got home, we sat on the sofa and watched a movie. At the end of the day, even though my parents were mad, they were still a bit happy, knowing that they will never do “Yes Day” again.
