Witches and their Twisted Necks

Purple and black smoke curled up into the air. The witches looked like three tall, crooked, dancing trees. “You are too good, little girl,” they sneered. “You are afraid of us. But, truly, you are afraid of yourself. You are one of us.” I started to run, when suddenly something grabbed me from the side and took me to another room, sat me down in a chair, and pushed me into a pit that led to another dimension.

It was colorful, vibrant, and lively. Before I realized it, I was looking in the wrong place. The place I was going to was dark, gloomy, and rainy which I absolutely loved. I fell into a flower bed of Zevo Laneige, one of my favorite flowers. But as I was about to rise from the flower bed, I heard loud growling from behind me so I decided to run as fast as I could but ended up crashing into a wall and falling into a trance. When I woke up, I was in front of a sign and it read “C.O. BIGELOW EST 1838 Apothecaries Rose Salve.” It seemed like a very pretty name, I thought to myself. It smelled like roses, violets, and strawberries.

I loved the area so much that it seemed like the perfect new home, but when I looked down, I finally realized that I was just back where I had started: The witch’s town. I walked around the bushes as stealthily as I could, so I wouldn’t be found by anyone. As I walked, someone pulled me from the bushes into a dark area that somewhat resembled the area that that man brought me to, and surprisingly, they looked exactly like the person who had pulled me away before when the witches were trying to find me before all of this happened. The time and place crept around my head; the deja vu of me being here was just too much. As he was yapping and yapping, I spaced out about my life before this.

The freedom, the fun, and no running away. That’s what brought me to this; I ran away because I didn’t live the life I had anymore, so I ran away to see if I could find something better, something that I could enjoy. But as you guys can see, it’s not going so well. So I decided to just run away from the guy because what he was saying felt like it was very unimportant because what I wanted was to live my life freely in a way that I didn’t have all sorts of people (witches) in my way all the time trying to use me for a stupid potion.

I stopped at a house filled with missing posters of pale redheaded girls with their bones hanging with the posters. Then, there was a board with the words “The One” etched in the middle with my face on it.  I decided to back away but I fell on a piece of a branch and broke it in half and the witches’ necks turned as fast as they could with all eyes on me. Then, werewolves started running after me, pulling me into the house and I was afraid this would be my loophole forever.
