Trapped by a Librarian

It was close to dark about 6:34 PM. I wanted to go to the library to get this book I wanted, so I put on my blue shoes, grabbed my library card, and left. It was a quick walk only about 7 minutes from my house. I finally arrived at the library and logged in with my library card; I grabbed the book I wanted and sat down to read the first chapter.

As I was reading, I noticed I got to chapter 2 but decided I would read the last chapter. I was reading when I suddenly realized I was at chapter 8. How did time fly by so fast?! I looked up, and the lights were out; I checked my watch: it was 10pm.

I was locked in the library by myself. I stood up and ran for the door. Locked. Why did nobody tell me? Why didn’t the librarian tell me to leave? I started walking around, bumping into things in the pitch black. I figured it was her desk.

I started to feel around to see if I could find a key or something, and suddenly I felt something hard with a button on the bottom. It was a flashlight! Thank God. I immediately turned it on and got chills from seeing everything. I tried finding the room in the back to see if that door was unlocked.

It wasn’t. I decided to accept it and when they opened in the morning, I would run out, so I continued reading the book chapter 12. I was so thirsty, so I stood up and decided to see if there was another room. I bumped into the room in the back and froze up. It was open, and I clicked on my flashlight and walked in, looking around. I found a water bottle.

I wasn’t sure how old it was, but I didn’t care. I drank it and went to make a bed out of bean bags and fell asleep. 3 AM: I woke up to a thud, and I saw someone moving. “Who is that?” I thought and looked closer. It was the librarian. Did she purposely trap me in here? I went to the door, and it was unlocked.

Suddenly, I heard running. I didn’t think twice before running. I ran for the door, and she chased me! What was going on?! I fell, and she tried grabbing me, but I screamed as loud as possible. All of a sudden, I woke up. I was at home in bed which was cozy and warm. I checked the time, and it was 10 PM; I looked out my window, and I saw something moving again. It was the librarian grabbing someone by the head. I never returned to the library ever again, and I indeed moved away. Sometimes, though, I still get that dream. What if she was after me?
