The Poisonous Rose – Part 2

“Eugine, It’s time for breakfast! I cooked your favorite breakfast, hashbrowns with eggs.” Eugine sighed, no fancy breakfast or any material thing could fool Eugine. He was born to prove his dad’s bravery and to decrease the daily violence. Dying under a car and getting targeted by a venomous beast which throws burning acidic liquid towards your eyes and which causes infections that spread to your whole body that makes you suffer to death with NO CURE is more painful than being crushed by a car. Eugine could never imagine the pain his dad went through. It sounded too harsh to even think about. What would it feel like to actually burn your eyes?
Eugine woke up to a blurry haze on his window with droplets of the thunderstorm that took place last night. He was terrified of storms but you know what he was even more terrified of? The Ginai Killer.
“I cannot imagine harming my sister,” said Eugine. “She is like my second mom, I love her so much. But in order to get out of this bloody scheme- ugh no!”
Eugine slammed his ‘E’ mug to the round, glass table. And yes, it shattered into one trillion pieces.
“I heard a slam! What happened, Eugine?” Jen cried. “Oh no Eugine, what have you done?”
Jen sat next to Eugine and said, “Eugine, what’s on your mind? Why did you break the mug?”
“Jen, was our dad a good guy or a bad guy?” asked Eugine. “Did he commit suicide?”
Jen replied, “Our father was a great—”
Jen’s eyes shut and Eugine pulled the dagger out of her neck. Eugine burst into tears and cried, “NO! WHAT HAVE I DONE! NO,NO COME BACK JEN, NO NO NO I WILL NEVER HARM YOU AGAIN!”
It was too late. Eugine heard footsteps walking towards his bedroom. He pulled Jen into his arms and pulled her under his bed. He covered her body with a blanket and some pillows. He wiped off the remaining blood with his sleeves.
“Eugine, I heard some screams and some crying from the room,” said mom. “Is everything alright, darling?”
This might have been the second time Eugine’s mom had called him “darling”. The first time was when he was five coming from school when he tripped over a stone. He had gotten a small cut but that was big for his mom to process.
Eugine cried, “Mother, I have to tell you something. I know you will not be happy about it but please, just hear me out.”
“Sweety, you are worrying me once again, honestly tell me what’s the matter,” said mom. “Is it about your friend Ouggy bugging you or about ‘The Ginai Killer’ or is it about the ca–”
“No, mom, it’s not about that. Listen in order to get rid of The Ginai Killer, I was asked to slay Jen.”
“WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO! MY DAUGHTER. MY FIRST LOVELY JEN. YOU EVIL MONSTER, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!”
And like that, yes, Eugine’s mother slapped him approximately a million times until her hands started to bleed. She cried her eyes out. She just looked like she went mentally sick. She stood up from the table and roughly wiped her tears like a beast. Everyone in the town of Gorty was given a knife for protection purposes, but Eugine’s mother used it in a wrong way. She pulled out the super shiny and pointy knife from a sheeth tied to the back of her Kaftan dress.
She pointed it towards Eugine’s pot belly and yelled, “I HATE YOU SO MUCH TO THE EXTENT I WILL MAKE YOU HAVE THE MOST PAINFUL DEATH THAT NOT ANYBODY FROM THE PEOPLE OF GORTY HAD, BUT THE DEATH THAT NOBODY FACED IN THIS ENTIRE UNIVERSE!”
Eugine’s mouth exploded with blood. His eyes went blank from the soothing photo of his late father to a bloody nightmare.
