The Mischievous Brothers

One snowy Friday morning, when I was walking to school, I ran into two brothers named Nimko and Jimko. I asked them how old they were; they said that they were twins but they were born in different years, they belonged to different grades and they did not look the same. I asked them how they were born in different years. Nimko said, “He was born on December 31st at 11:59 PM and Jimko was born on January 1st 12:01 AM. I was surprised until I realized that I was late to school. Before I left, I witnessed mischievous smiles on both their faces. I felt like they were going to stalk me or do something to my family. Once I reached school, I stopped worrying about Nimko and Jimko because I had to worry about my math test, my basketball game tonight and my religious class homework. When I reached home I was so tired and I only wanted to lie down on my bed and play NBA 2K24. After I was done eating dinner and doing my chores, I played 2K for an hour and then decided to go to sleep. In the middle of the night, I heard the front door creak open and close in less than a millisecond. I heard footsteps coming closer and closer to my bedroom. I was terrified and all I wanted to do was to go to my parents’ bedroom and sleep with them for the rest of the night, but it was already too late. I had a plan, so I got my iPad and added a Police car siren, which distracted the burglars. While the burglars were distracted by the siren, I had already made my way to my parents’ bedroom. When I opened my parents’ room door, I found out that my parents were not in their bed. I climbed up the attic and set a trap for the burglars. I used my iPad to play pre-recorded gunshot noises, so the burglars would come to my parents’ room. I attached a string to a hook and tied a bucket to it. I then lowered the bucket so that it could hit the burglars’ faces. I also attached lasers to the ground, so that if they stepped on it, they would make loud noises. I also called the police and told them that someone was robbing my house. The second I ended the call, the burglars had already stepped on a laser and got slightly injured. I lowered the rope which made the bucket fall on the injured burglars. Until then, the police had arrived and the burglars were badly injured. Once the police handcuffed the two robbers, I pulled up their mask and found myself staring at the familiar faces of Nimko and Jimko. I asked them where my parents were and they said, “They are in our car with their hands and feet firmly tied with a nylon rope. I ran to the kitchen and got a cleaver which I used to cut the nylon rope and set my parents free.
