“You know what!? My son doesn’t need bad teachers like you to ruin his future. He is bright and great. He is probably smarter than the smartest kid in this school!” screamed Sabrina as she punched the table with her knuckles.
“I don’t have time to deal with your bow tie, Isaac. School starts in TWENTY MINUTES!” yelled Sabrina as she finished mixing her oatmeal for her son who was a picky eater.
Isaac ran all around the house in search of his bow tie, just before his mom grabbed him from his back and said, “Honey, you are skipping four grades. You are going into highschool with your big brother. Grade five to grade ten is a big jump.”
“Let me go!! I have to pack my briefcase,” said Isaac as he pulled his mother’s hands off his back.
“Honey, a bow tie is not necessary. That’s for business men. And a briefcase is also for business men. You are only ten right now,” said Sabrina.
Sabrina ran to her husband, Larry, and yelled, “Where did you put Isaac’s bow tie?! He is crying and wants it. He won’t go to school without it.”
Sabrina’s eyes noticed a chuckle on Larry’s son’s face named Adam.
“You monster! Give me my son’s bow tie!” exclaimed Sabrina.
“He doesn’t need it. He is just ten years old. It’s stressful enough that he is in my class,” said Adam.
“That doesn’t seem to be my son’s fault that he is smarter than your speechless brain,” said Sabrina as she pulled the bow tie from Adam’s pockets that had been sticking out.
“My bow tie. My mom, I can’t find it,” said Isaac as he ran in circles around the breakfast table in search of his missing bow tie.
“I found it, Isaac! Now will ya stop screaming and turning this house upside down because of your oversized bow tie,” said Sabrina as she tied on Isaac’s bow tie.
Thirty-four minutes later…
“Isaac, sweety. Are you sure you want to join this high school? They all are big kids. You are probably the youngest in this school. Just a fifth grader,” said Sabrina. “And take the bow tie off. It makes you look– never mind. If you take it off, I will take you to ‘Nicklo’s Iconic Library’. I know it’s your favorite!”
In class…
“Anybody? Anyone wanna come up to the board and solve this question?” asked Ms. Mia.
Isaac walked into the class as the teacher introduced the young prodigy to the high school class.
“Hi, I am Isaac. I am ten years old. That is my uncommunicative fifteen-year-old brother. What a shame that a younger brother is smarter than his tight-lipped older step brother,” said Isaac as the class booed at Adam. “Where shall I sit Ms. Mustache?” asked Isaac.
“Excuse me? My name is Ms. Mia. You probably misunderstood my name, correct?” asked Ms. Mia.
“Nope, you have a mustache. Which is illegal to have in the dress code book of 2001,” said Isaac as he rubbed his imaginary beard, trying to act intelligent.
Ms. Mustache told Isaac to go to the principal’s office for being rude.
Isaac walked towards the principal’s office, shocked to find his mother talking to the principal. He eavesdropped on their conversation.
“I’m sorry ma’am. I wish I could do something about this, but your son has been nothing but trouble in this school. I think he should go back to grade five and have fun there. It must be hard to blend in with older kids,” said Principal Williams.
“You know what!? My son doesn’t need bad teachers like you to ruin his future. He is bright and great. He is probably smarter than the smartest kid in this school!” screamed Sabrina as she punched the table with her knuckles.
“I am sure. Your son must be smart, however he isn’t the age or he does not have the manners. He should go have fun in grade five…” said the principal.
“I happily accept,” said Sabrina.
“Alright, ma’am. The paperwork for ‘Student Dismissal’ is completed and you are free to go!” exclaimed Principal Williams.
Sabrina picked up her purse and rolled it over her shoulders. As she was exiting the office, she noticed Isaac seated next to the lobby, so she went to him and asked, “Honey, what are you doing here? Are you not supposed to be in class?”
“The real question is, what are you doing here?” asked Isaac.
“WE WILL GO HOME AND TALK, MR. ISAAC!” screamed Sabrina as the highschool students stared at her.
