Ava: (teasingly) Famous last words, Brooks. Famous last words.
Brooks wakes up to the sound of his alarm clock. He stretches and yawns, getting out of bed.
Brooks: (muttering) Time to rise and shine.
Brooks heads to the kitchen where he makes his breakfast while humming a tune.
Brooks: (to himself) Let’s see: oatmeal with berries and a sprinkle of nuts. Perfect fuel for the day.
Brooks finishes his breakfast and heads to his living room for his morning workout. He rolls out his yoga mat and begins his routine.
Brooks: Inhale… exhale… feel the stretch.
After his workout, Brooks heads to the bathroom to shower and gets ready for the day. He styles his hair and selects an outfit from his closet.
Brooks: (examining his reflection) Looking good, Brooks. Time to seize the day.
Brooks sits down at his desk with his journal and pen, jotting down his goals for the day.
Brooks: Priority one: finish that history assignment. Priority two: catch up on reading for English class…
Brooks takes a moment to read a chapter of his current book before getting his stuff and heading out the door.
Brooks: (checking his watch) Time to hit the road.
As Brooks walks to school, he listens to a motivational podcast on his headphones.
Brooks: (nodding along) Wise words, indeed.
Brooks arrives at school, feeling focused and ready to take on the day. He greets his friends with a smile as he heads to his first class.
Brooks: (to Ava ) Morning! Ready to conquer the world?
After school…
Ava: (grinning) This is it, Brooks! We’re actually doing this. Coachella, here we come!
Brooks: (smirking) Told you my plan would work. Let’s just hope Ami and Jay can handle their roles.
Ava and Brooks stand at the bus stop with their bags packed, excitement in their eyes. The bus to Coachella arrives, and they quickly hop on, finding seats near the back.
Ava: (sitting down and looking out the window) I can’t believe we’re going to Coachella. This is going to be epic!
Brooks: (settling into his seat) Yeah, it’s going to be legendary. Just imagine all the music, the food, the people. We’re going to have the time of our lives.
Ava: (laughing) And don’t forget the part where our parents have no clue we’re gone. Ami and Jay better not mess this up.
Brooks: (confidently) Relax, Ava. I’ve got everything covered. They know exactly what to do. Plus, it’s just three days. What’s the worst that could happen?
Ava: (teasingly) Famous last words, Brooks. Famous last words.
The bus starts moving, and Ava and Brooks share a look of excitement and a sense of adventure. They chat about the artists they’re most excited to see and make plans for the festival.
Brooks: (pulling out a map of the festival grounds) Okay, so the first thing we do when we get there is find the main stage. We don’t want to miss any of the big performances.
Ava: (nodding) Agreed. And we should definitely try to get some merch early before the best stuff sells out.
They continue to talk excitedly, the bus ride filled with laughter and anticipation. As the scenery changes from cityscape to open desert, their excitement only grows.
Ava: (looking out the window at the desert landscape) Wow, this is so different from home. I love it already.
Brooks: (grinning) Just wait until we’re there, Ava. It’s going to be unforgettable.
The bus rolls on, carrying Ava and Brooks towards their dream adventure at Coachella. The sunset paints the sky with vibrant colors, as the two best friends—now “besties”—begin their journey of a lifetime.
