Before the bee could even understand what was going on, the pair of spectacles suddenly transformed into binoculars.
Dancing in the virgin lands populated by armies of exhilarating daffodils, Ashley was suddenly struck by the melodic sounds of birds singing their morning anthem. It was almost as if the meadows welcomed her with outstretched arms as she wandered with a glint in her eye and a strange jubilation animating her body. Not even the view of the perfect night sky with comets could compete with each breath she took. An aggressive breeze danced on her protruding cheek, almost as if inviting her to dance and spin. She could understand each word of the subtle chirps of the birds whizzing and circling by her side. Before she could fall to the ground and gaze at the sky, she noticed a bee hovering near her ear, almost as if getting ready to whisper some long-held secret into it.
“Magic … magic … magic!” cried the bee.
“Have you treated your nest’s queen with tons of nectar already, Beatrice?” Ashley asked.
“Tried! Tried! The wolf shook the entire hive! Entire hive!” Beatrice yelled out.
“That darn wolf! What this wolf has been doing to my corn puts the grandma-devouring wolf of Red Riding Hood to shame!” Ashley exclaimed.
“Deal! Deal! It must be gone, must be gone!”
“What do you think about visiting his little crib? We can set up a trap and follow him back home!” Ashley proposed.
Beatrice smiled in reply, prompting Ashely to saunter in the direction of the wolf’s crib with the bee closely following behind her. Ashley grabbed her pair of glasses and set it in front of the bee’s eyes. Before the bee could even understand what was going on, the pair of spectacles suddenly transformed into binoculars. The bee hovering with a low hum was taken aback.
“Pups! Pups! The wolf has pups!” said the bee.
Ashley slowly approached the growling pups, attempting to pat their furry heads. Before she knew it, the growls had morphed into squeals of satisfaction as the pups fought each other for their turn to be patted by Ashley. Soon thereafter, the squeals of satisfaction were overwhelmed by a monstrous growl behind Ashley’s back. As Ashley turned around to locate the origin of the roar, she found herself face to face with the mischievous wolf. The wolf snarled, showing her viscous teeth, but Ashley ignored her and rubbed her fingers against the wolf’s button-like nose. The shocked wolf soon gave in to Ashley’s loving gesture and swiftly promised Beatrice never to vandalize their hives ever again along with never stealing Ashley’s fresh and fruity crops for as long as she lived. Ashley allowed the wolf and her pups to move in with her into her cabin, promising to spoil them for as long as she had the pleasure of living this exuberant existence.
