Back to Roblox Rehab

The phone rang.

“Hello,” I said, “hello.”

No one was there.  I hung up. All the lights went out. My belongings flew up in the air. Then the TV flickered and showed a face I’d never thought I would see again. Like me, he had dark hair, blue oval eyes, and freckles. My brother came to find me again after ten years. Then I heard his voice. He said, “Angela, it’s been so long since I’ve seen you. We should hang out and meet at the barn by the farm. Six sharp. Don’t be late.”

Then the TV turned off, my belongings fell to the ground and the lights turned back on. Then I thought about the consequences that could appear if I went because my brother John was mentally insane and had a great love for Roblox. I was still wondering to this day how he had escaped rehab.

So I got ready to leave to go to the farm. As I was  walked there, I fell into a tube in the ground that took me to a lab and a tube that I would be placed into later. Then I saw him–my brother John ready to say something.

“Angela,” he said with a strange look in his eyes.

“‘I’ve been waiting for you, Angela, a very long time unfortunately, like five to six years, right?”

“Ten years? Trust me I’m not that dumb,” I said.

“Ok, ok, here’s what I wanted to tell you: I created something very very important the world could need some day; it’s just that I need your help to help me finish it,” John responded.

My mind went blank. What had he make that he needed my help for? I looked around the lab and noticed weird machines both tall and short and bright and glowing screens filled with data. It was both cool and terrifying.

“What do you mean, John?” I asked,

He got closer. “I made a VR world  on Roblox,” he said.

“Of course, it’s always you and roblox,” I said. “I honestly think this is becoming an addiction now.”

“It’s a place where we can escape, where everything is just the way you like. But it’s not finished without you, Angela; you’re the last piece I need and together we can make it ours.”

A chill ran down my spine. This was  more than anything I could have imagined my brother doing that involved roblox and guess what? I was right.  My brother had always been smart but I’ve never seen him put his mind together to make something totally outside his imagination, so I had to make a smart move and fast.

“John, this is crazy,” I said, walking away. “You need to go back to rehab, you really need help over this roblox obsession.

His face turned red like a tomato. “You don’t understand! This is the only way we can be together, free from the real world. Just trust me, Angela,” said John.

I looked at the tube again feeling panic rise in my body and thought  I needed to get out of here before the doors closed.

“You can’t leave, Angela. I need you and you also don’t have a choice, so therefore you’re stuck here until I say otherwise, clear?” he said.

“Crystal,” I said

At that moment, I had misunderstood and realized how much worse this had gotten. I had to find a  way to get out of there and quickly because it seemed like the walls were closing in like the end of my life.
