Black Lollipop

Black or white
Color of the lollipop doesn’t matter to you

Love is not a color
Character is not a shade of skin

If there is no struggle, there is no progress
If there is no pain, there is no justice

Beneath the dark sky there are all types of humans
Under the black mountains there are different rocks

To the bottom of the dark green trees there is no justice

All people are the same in the eyes of Allah

Allah will grant Jannah to those who show equal kindness
Yet, those who do not show equal kindness will be punished

Black or white
Treat fairly
As you would treat the color of your lollipop

    “Black or white”: Antithesis
    “You”: second person narrative
    “Love is not a colour”
Character is not a shade of skin: litote
“If there is no struggle, there is no progress
If there is no pain, there is no justice”: Conditional statement
This poem is engaging. I really liked it a lot. Great!
