From a Boating Trip to a Funeral

Sophie loved making YouTube shorts for her channel. She had over 500K subscribers. She had always wanted a million subscribers. She had three siblings. She had two brothers, Jonah and Nathan. They were both younger than her. Sophie was fifteen years old and her older sister, Maddie was seventeen.

One day, Sophie was in her room making live videos when she began to get hate comments. Sophie began to panic just before her older sister, Maddie, walked in.

“Hey Soph, what’s wrong?” asked Maddie.

“I am getting hate from some people,” said Sophie.

“Look, Sophie. Those people just want attention. They use negativity to spread awareness, although positivity is the way out,” said Maddie.

“Thanks, Maddie for the advice,” said Sophie.

“Of course! Anytime, now continue making your videos,” said Maddie.

Sophie continued showing her vanity to her followers just before people began asking for high branded hoodies from her.

“Give us hoodies!” said @axt748.

“Yes! @axt748 is right! Give us everything expensive you have or we will unsubscribe,” said @fayeforever2.

Sophie ended her live stream and called her friends.

“Anysia! My followers are asking for high branded stuff from me. But I don’t really wanna give it. What should I do?!” yelled Sophie.

“Calm down. I get it. Just do what you think is right. If you don’t wanna give it, then don’t. They can’t force you to do something you don’t want to do. Let them unsubscribe. That just proves they are not real followers,” explained Anysia.

“You are literally 100% right! I am gonna tell them that I don’t have to give them my stuff,” said Sophie.

“Great! Can’t wait to meet you tonight on our boating trip!” yelled Anysia with excitement.

“What boating trip? O ya! The boating thing. Yeah,” said Sophie.

“Don’t tell me that you forgot!” exclaimed Anysia.

“Of course I didn’t. I’m gonna go get ready right now! Thanks for the reminder,” said Sophie.

“Okay?” said Anysia as she turned the call off.

Sophie hurried getting ready. She only had one hour to be there. She packed her extra clothes and towels to change into after she got wet at the lake.

“All set, mom! Can you please drop me to Utah Lake? I am going boating with Anysia,” said Sophie.

“Of course! That sounds fun. What about your other friend, Milada? Is she available? It would be kind if you brought her too,” said mom.

“Yes! Milada is actually traveling. She is out of town. Otherwise, I would invite her too!” said Sophie.

“Alright! If you say so. Now go sit in the car and I am gonna grab my keys,” said mom.

“Mom! Is it fine if I invite our cousins as well? Like Skye, Lucy and Libby! Please?” pleaded Sophie.

“Sure! If you want to,” said mom.

Sophie grabbed her phone and called her three favorite cousins. Skye was the closest to her since they lived close and were basically the same age. Lucy and Libby were her second favorites cause they lived quite near Sophie’s home which gave them more opportunities to hang out.

An hour later, all the girls met at the boating area excited to sit on the boat.

“I’ll call first!” yelled Libby.

“Hey, fine. I call second,” yelled Lucy.

Skye, Sophie and Anysia insisted they went last.

One by one, they all went on the boat.

As Anysia was on the boat, a thunderstorm began. Lightning and heavy rain poured on Anysia causing her to fall off and drown.

“Anysia!! Don’t die,” yelled Sophie.

The girls tried reaching out for help, but no one was there except for them.

“I am sorry guys, I am gonna go save my friend. If she dies, me and Milada will die out of boredom,” said Sophie.

Just like that, Sophie jumped into the lake, attempting to save Anysia. She swam through the boats and found a body.

“Anysia! My friend, I found you!” said Sophie.

Sophie dragged the body over the bridge and was shocked to find a mannequin in the lake.

“Where is Anysia then?!” yelled Sophie.

Just before Sophie began to cry, Anysia yelled, “April fools and happy birthday, pookie!”

“You scared the death out of me! How did you arrange this fake death?” asked Sophie.

“I can do anything!” laughed Anysia.

“Okay!! Let’s go home! It is raining a lot. A lot,” said  Sophie.

“You fell for it! It was fake rain and thunderstorm noises. I hired some people to do this for you,” yelled Anysia.

“What?!” yelled Sophie.

Just like that, the girls stayed longer in the lake, happily.
