The New Kid – Part II

“Help, help,” I screamed.

I was on the floor crying and sweating for my dear life, but nobody was noticing and nobody even cared to ask what happened? I got up and made my way to the office by limping on one leg. Once I reached the office I got ice and called my mom to come and pick me up because I had gotten injured by grade 9 students.

“Can you pick me up?” I asked my mom.

“Okay,” said mom.

After waiting for twenty three minutes and thirty six seconds in the office, my mom finally came to pick me up.

“What were you thinking?” asked mom.

“I was just trying to show them who’s boss,” I said.

“If you think you are the boss, you do not have to try and show it off to anyone, right?” said mom.

“Okay,” I said.

“Now I have to take you to the doctor because I feel like you broke your ankle,” said mom.

“Ok,” I said.

Once we reached the doctor’s clinic, I went into his office and took off my shoes to show him my ankle.

“I think your ankle is broken,” said Doctor Brown. “You need crutches.”

“How long will he have the crutches?” asked mom.

“For around eight to nine months,” said the doctor.

We bought the crutches from the clinic and headed home.

“Mom, I’m not used to the crutches,” I said.

“You will get used to it, sweetheart,” said mom.

That same night, I put my crutches along the wall, turned on an alarm and went to sleep.

I got on my crutches and climbed down my window using a wooden ladder. I then made my way to a party where all students from grade five to grade nine were invited. After ten minutes of walking, I stumbled across a beautiful lake and a cottage named the Lake of Memories. I sat down, took off my shoes and put my feet in the cold lake. I laid down on the grass and closed my  eyes.

Phew! I was standing in front of my dad holding a sword and had a chance to kill him or give him to the enemies who would torture him every day until he died.

“This is a tough decision for me,” I said.

I picked up my sword, raised it and made a tiny cut on my dad’s heart him which made him bleed and killed him.

“Wake up honey and come downstairs,” said mom.

“Aghh!” I said, feeling relieved. “It was just a dream.”

But it didn’t change the fact that my whole body was sweating and my clothes were wet. I got off my bed, got ready for school and walked downstairs. After eating breakfast, I jumped in the car and headed to school.

“Be good at school and do not play with the grade 9 students,” said mom.

“Ok,” I said.

Once we reached school, I got out of the car and waved bye to my mom.
