Buzz! My basketball-themed clock woke me up all of a sudden. I was so tired but I had to wake up because this was my first day in my new school which was called St. Johns Middle School.
“Wake up, Liam,” mom said.
“I will be out in ten minutes,” I said.
“Hurry up, because it is your first day at your new school and you do not want to be late,” said mom.
I jumped out of my bed and ran to the washroom to brush my teeth and take a shower. After taking a shower, I ran to my closet to pick out something to wear on the first day of school. I wore blue jeans, a France jersey as my shirt and my lucky silver necklace.
“I am ready,” I screamed from upstairs. “I am coming down.”
“Oh! My favorite: blueberry waffles covered in whipped cream and chocolate syrup, with some bacon and eggs on the side.”
After eating, I packed my bag with a notebook and a pen, grabbed the stained keys and sat in my mom’s car at the front seat while waiting for my mom to lock the door and sit in the car. On the drive, I turned on my favorite song, “Heat Waves”, to not make me nervous on my first day of school. Once we reached the school, I grabbed my bag and said bye to my mom.
“Bye,” I said. “I will miss you”
“I will miss you too,” said mom.
I heard the bell and lined up for assembly at the front of the school.
“Jack?”
“Here.”
“Sarah?”
“Here.”
“Jordan?”
“Here.”
“Liam?”
“He-re”
“You must be the new kid,” said the principal.
“Yes,” I said.
“I want everyone to be nice to Liam today, because it is his first day at this school so he does not know which class is after which and he doesn’t know which class to go to,” said the principal.
I found my first class all by myself. I felt like a king that day. My first class was math, my favorite, and I was really good at it. I opened the door and headed towards my desk which was really small. Once I sat down, my teacher started the lesson. The lesson was called Factors, Multiples and Primes.
“Who knows how to solve this question?” asked the teacher.
I raised my hand as quick as a cheetah could move his feet.
“Yes, Liam?”
“The answer is a number that only has 2 factors, one and itself,” I replied.
“That is correct,” said the teacher.
After Math was language and then recess. When language was done, I headed my way to the soccer field to play soccer and there I was stopped by a bully named Billy who was in grade 9 and hated school.
“Where do you think you are headed?” asked Billy.
“I am go-ing to the soc-cer field,” I replied.
“Well, since you are a new kid, I will let you play on the field with the rest of us,” said Billy.
“Ok,” I said.
After listening to Billy, I ran to the field, took off my jacket and got ready to play with the grade 9 students. As soon as I started playing, there was disaster.
“Oww!” I screamed.
