Tick Tock Tick Tock.
“Milada, you only have five minutes left till your therapy session ends,” said Dr. Sophie. “Do you have any other questions?”
“I DON’T NEED THERAPY!” shouted Milada as she threw the vase on the red wooden floor.
“I completely understand what you are going through, Milada,” said Dr. Sophie. “I completely understand.”
Milada shouted back, “You do not know what I am going through. It’s- it’s this face that keeps smiling at me!”
“Isn’t someone smiling at you an honorable and joyful scene?” asked Dr. Sophie
“You never understood, nor are you understanding, nor will you ever understand in a million years! It’s so creepy, the smile haunts me so much,” said Milada. “It makes me angry, makes me wanna scream and I don’t know how TO EXPLAIN IT!”
“Calm down, Milada, what form does the face come in?”
“As a human. It comes in the form of the person I am directly speaking to.”
As time passed by quickly, Milada began to change.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” screamed Milada.
From sitting on the chair Milada collapsed to the ground paddling backwards with her elbows, as she continued to yell.
Dr. Sophie stood up and called the paramedics for help.
She gently attempted to approach Milada. However, before she could, Milada stood up and cut her own throat and died.
Slurp.
Sophie took another sip of her wine. She was left traumatized by the sudden death of her patient. It was pitch dark in the kitchen where Sophie stood leaning next to the fridge.
Beep.
“Oh finally you are home, Angelica,” said Sophie. “Today you would not believe what happened at work. A-A patient killed herself like in front of me, Angelica.”
“Wow, I mean sad, but like how, wait WHAT!” exclaimed Angelica.
“I know, it’s shocking, but I can’t believe that would happen.”
Cluck Cluck!
The chickens woke Angelica and Sophie up once again.
Angelica headed towards Sophie’s room, astonished finding her drinking for the sixteenth time in less than twenty-four hours.
“Have you lost your senses?” screamed Angelica as she snatched the wine glass from Sophie’s trembling hands.
“Huh? No, I have not lost my senses, I just think that the smile-thing transferred.”
